Overview

Time Clash for Harvest is a Chrome extension that helps you identify overlapping time entries in your Harvest timesheets. This privacy policy explains what data we collect (or don't collect) and how the extension works.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data.

Specifically:

  • No personal information is collected - We never access your name, email, or account details
  • No time entry data is stored - Your timesheet data stays entirely within your browser
  • No analytics or tracking - We don't use analytics services, cookies, or tracking pixels
  • No external servers - The extension runs entirely on your local machine and never sends data anywhere

How the Extension Works

Time Clash operates entirely within your browser:

  1. When you visit a Harvest timesheet page (*.harvestapp.com)
  2. The extension reads time entries displayed on the page
  3. It compares start and end times to detect overlaps
  4. Overlapping entries are highlighted with a red background color
  5. All processing happens locally in your browser - nothing is sent or stored

Permissions Explained

The extension requests the following permission:

  • Host permissions for *.harvestapp.com: This allows the extension to read and modify the visual appearance of Harvest pages to highlight overlapping entries. The extension only runs on Harvest timesheet pages.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party services, APIs, or analytics tools.

Data Security

Since we don't collect or transmit any data, there is no data to secure or breach. All processing happens locally within your browser's memory and is cleared when you close the tab.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how the extension handles data, we will update this privacy policy and the extension version number. Users will be notified through the Chrome Web Store update mechanism.
