Stand Still, Sunday

I shot this on a hot afternoon, somewhere between the noise of traffic and the lull of people just trying to get where they’re going. What caught me wasn’t the obvious … it was the stillness. The way this person just stood there, unbothered, back to the world, like they’d pressed pause on the chaos around them. The light was harsh, almost too much, but it added something raw and honest. It turned skin into landscape, shadow into attitude.
Looking at it now, it feels like a moment about defiance, or maybe just freedom. The kind you don’t plan or pose for. The kind that happens when you forget anyone might be watching.
